Privacy Policy

StageCom is a local, offline intercom. It doesn't have a server of its own, doesn't collect your data, and doesn't send anything to us — because there's no "us" in the loop. Your phone talks directly to the Mac running your show, over the Wi-Fi network you're both already on.

What StageCom stores on your device

Two small things, saved locally using standard iOS preferences storage, and never sent anywhere except your own Mac when you choose to connect:

Your name — what you typed into "Your name," so you don't retype it next time.
Last IP address — the Mac's address, if you connected manually, for a one-tap reconnect.

There's no account, no analytics, and no crash reporting that phones home anywhere.

What crosses the network

Discovery. Your phone looks for the show's Mac using Bonjour, Apple's standard local-network discovery protocol — this only sees devices on your current Wi-Fi.
Audio. While you're talking, your microphone audio streams directly to the Mac, which relays it to whoever's listening on that channel, all on your local network. Nothing is recorded, transcribed, or stored, by the app or by us.

Permissions

Microphone — needed to talk on the intercom. Captured only while you're actively talking.

Local Network — needed to find the show's Mac on Wi-Fi and exchange audio with it.

Review or revoke either anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security on your phone.

Third parties

None. StageCom includes no analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs of any kind. The only other party involved is the Mac you're personally connecting to.

Children's privacy

StageCom collects no personal data from anyone, including children, for the reasons above.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, this page will be updated first, and the date above will change.
