What is SwimAmerica?
SwimAmerica is the state of the art learn-to-swim program developed by the
American Swimming
Coaches Association to provide the finest learn-to-swim
progression in the world. The program uses a station teaching method which
allows students to progress at their own rate. Each station represents one
or more well defined skills. Once the swimmer has mastered the station's
skills, he/she is graduated to the next station.
Diversified Aquatics (formerly MVP-West Swimming) was the first program
to offer SwimAmerica in the Boston area. Diversified Aquatics (D.A.) has
one of the top developmental swimming programs in New England and is now
offering SwimAmerica at the Watertown Boy's and Girl's Club and the Hanscom
Field Airforce Base pools. Reid Christen, the program director, has over
15 years of experience coaching and teaching swimming. His staff has been
carefully chosen from the best coaches and swimmers in the area and professionally
trained.
